Beer for breakfast? At the Parkway Tavern, a brew breakfast is standard protocol for the annual Barleywine Festival, happening this weekend, April 30-May 1. The festival, celebrating the strongly flavored beer called barleywine, is in its sixth year and this year’s barleywine list includes more than 40 barleywines for Saturday’s event, and a breakfast Sunday with more locally brewed barleywine and a beer-friendly menu.
