Beer? And coffee? Together? You bet. Hop Coffee opens in Tacoma

French press, cold-brewed, DIY bean roasting and even coffee beans pooped out of an elephant and priced $500 a pound.

Cool off: Drinks and patios for enjoying that giant orb in the sky

Some people take air conditioned cover when temperatures hover in the 80s. Some people head to a deck for a drink. I’m not sure where I’ll be this week, but it’s a safe bet that I won’t be eating much soup. Unless it’s chilled.

For your calendar: Barbecue and wine, barbecue and beer and a lemonade fundraiser

Several dining events are worthy of your calendar. Check out a barbecue and wine pairing this weekend at Proctor wine bar Pour at Four, the Harmon Taproom will debut its vanilla porter tonight and classmates of a Washington-Hoyt student will sell lemonade at the Proctor Farmers Market Saturday to raise money for their classmate’s medical treatment.
