Happy anniversary: Here’s a steal of a deal – 61 cent burgers at Galloping Gertie’s through Saturday
Galloping Gertie’s is dialing back its menu prices for its 61st anniversary. Diners can get 61 cent burger, fries and sodas today through Saturday at the old style diner in Lakewood.
The restaurant first opened in 1952, the restaurant of Gertie Rice, a woman who loved horses, gambling and St. Patrick’s Day (probably in that order). She died in 1991 at the age of 83.
