What’s this? A second trip in a single week by the Burgerville Nomad to South Sound?

An email from company reps say the roving Burgerville truck will serve up burgers and fries and other Burgerville standards tomorrow, Aug. 28, during the Lakewood International Festival (a free event, click the link for details).

This weekend’s Burgerville Nomad visit delayed

This just into my inbox: The visit of the Burgerville Nomad burger truck to Tacoma that I reported about here has been delayed. The Nomad still will come to the Mobile Chowdown competition March 13 in Seattle, but there isn’t time to make a stop in Tacoma, say the Nomad folks. Hey burger lovers, where should the Burgerville truck feed you?

I tweeted. They tweeted. Now it’s your turn to tell the Burgerville Nomad where you’d like to see it visit Tacoma.

The Burgerville folks told me in October that the Vancouver-based burger chain had no plans to open a store in South Sound, despite what Burgerville’s CEO previously told former TNT Business Columnist Dan Voelpel last February. However, a corporate spokeswoman said in October that Burgerville was considering bringing its mobile burger truck to Tacoma for a visit. So we’ve been waiting, but there’s been no word on that. Burgerville coming to town, but not in the way we’d hoped

When former News Tribune business columnist Dan Voelpel wrote in February that the Vancouver-based burger chain Burgerville had its eyes on Tacoma for a location, burgervores rejoiced. The small chain has outposts in Washington, but none north of Centralia. The chain known for locally sourcing ingredients has a cult following (this food writer included).

Well, it’s October and still no word on when/where Burgerville might have its first Tacoma location. So I emailed a company spokeswoman Megan Alpers to ask. Here’s what she had to say….
