Two Town Pub and Café opened July 24 at Point Ruston.

Point Ruston’s first restaurant has opened. Two Town Pub and Café is a full-service pub and restaurant in the Copperline Apartment Building. Here’s a first glance, and menus.

Two Town InteriorAtmosphere: Suitable for adults and families. It’s sure to be a pre-movie destination after the 11-screen Century Theater opens next door in 2015. High ceilings and concrete floors bounced the noise some – beware if you’re sensitive to background noise. The interior is just what you’d expect from a restaurant on the ground floor of a retail-residential development. Call it “airy pub casual” – wood tables, exposed brick, tall windows that let in plenty of light. The restaurant is named for the two towns that intersect nearby – Tacoma and Ruston. It’s owned by Mu Song, who also owns Olympia’s Pints and Quarts.

Views: Despite its home in a development with sweeping views of water and mountains, the restaurant is not well positioned for those views. The restaurant faces the parking lot. A patio table will give diners a sliver view of the water, but the view is partially blocked by adjacent buildings under construction.

Seating: The dining room is configured for parties large and small. Six-top tables are right next to the front door. Family-friendly seating is available. Outside, there’s a small patio with comfortably spaced tables. The building’s patio area is large, but it appears half the patio belongs to the neighboring business, a plastic surgery office.

Two Town patio viewMenu: Casual pub fare with sandwiches ($9-$13), burgers ($11-$13) and a few entrees ($14-$15). There’s also a menu for children. See menus below. I didn’t get a chance to look at the tap list, but I’ll report more after I do.

Tip: More restaurants are expected at the development, which just began its second phase of construction. Read this story by TNT business reporter John Gillie for more details on the project.
