Ticket alert: Gig Harbor Wine and Food Festival
Tickets are on sale now for the Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival, scheduled for July 26 at the Harbor History Museum. Tom Douglas, the James Beard award-winning chef and restaurateur from Seattle, will act as celebrity chef for the event that features a day of food seminars, wine tastings and other culinary-centered activities. Ticket alert: Star Chefs on Broadway
Tickets are on sale now for Star Chefs on Broadway, a March 30 fundraiser at the Pantages Theater benefiting the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts’ education programs. Chefs from Smoke + Cedar, Asado, Corina Bakery, Mercato Ristorante, Adriatic Grill, Art House Café and Dean Allen’s catering will cook for the event, which is a $200-per-person gala. Museum of Glass Slider Cook-Off
Beer from Narrows Brewing. Sliders from The Bite, Dirty Oscar’s Annex, Lobster Shop South, Maxwell’s, Paesan, Social and X Group Catering. The third Museum of Glass Slider Cook-Off on March 29 places chef against chef in a tiny food smackdown at the annual fundraiser for the Museum of Glass. Pierce County Firefighters Pipes and Drums St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl
Pierce County Firefighter’s Pipes and Drums will play music and raise some cash with a pub crawl. For $25, participants will get a T-shirt and a shot of Heritage Distilling Co.’s Fall Classic Apple Cider Whiskey. Drinking and driving is idiotic, so take the pub bus for a fee of $75 (click below for details) or walk to and from participating pubs.
Noon at Crockett’s and TK Irish Pub in Puyallup; 3:30 p.m. at The Float and Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor; 6 p.m. at Doyle’s Public House and The Swiss in Tacoma.
