Get your lederhosen on, but the stein is not necessary, unless you’re hitting the Harmon next Friday night for the bring-your-own-beer-mug night. Three Tacoma restaurants will have Oktoberfest events this week and next. They are:

The Parkland restaurant featured earlier this year on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives will host its third Oktoberfest this Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Live music by Sylvia’s Band, a yodeling contest, pretzel eating, the chicken dance (who can resist?) and beer drinking from a boot. The restaurant features a menu of home-style German and European fare. Three things you don’t want to miss at Bruno’s: potato pancakes, schnitzel and frikadelle. Read more about Bruno’s here. You can also check out Bruno’s at Oktoberfest Northwest Oct. 4-6 at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup. Check out last year’s coverage of that event here.
