Graham dining: Culpepper’s Bar and Grill opening; fish and chips coming, too

Bill and Nicole Culpepper traveled just a few miles south to open their newest bar. They expect to open Culpepper’s Bar and Grill in Graham as soon as the last of their permits are approved (any day now).

The Culpeppers previously owned Gamer’s Lounge, a small bar that operated for a few years on Meridian in South Hill (there’s a paint store there now).

Culpepper eyed a few locations to relocate his Gamer’s Lounge. He settled on the corner location of a strip mall that also holds Amici’s Italian Eatery. It’s one of those locations that seems perpetually doomed – three restaurants have cycled through in the last five years (Q’z, R&R Live and Rack’s).

Culpepper plans to offer sports viewing, monthly live music and a menu of burgers and bar eats ($9-$12) and will offer a full bar. The bar and grill is for diners 21 and older only.

Here’s a restaurant tip for Graham diners – the owners of Amici’s Italian Eatery plan a fish and chips restaurant in the same complex. I’ll share details soon.
