Later this year, a Washington-based burger chain will open its first South Sound location. Bob’s Burgers and Brews plans a late December or early January opening for its South Hill restaurant.
Ground broke July 23 for the new 6,100 square feet building, which plans to offer a 48-seat banquet room and a dining patio.
Bob’s is an entity known in Western Washington, but you’ll have to drive north to find the closest one. The regional chain was founded in 1982 in Lynden, then expanded tp Bellingham. Then the outfit sprawled southward down I-5 to Marysville and Everett. The restaurant also franchised to central Washington – with locations in Kennewick and Yakima.
Franchise owner Jeff Roberts owns the rights to Pierce County and he said he has plans to expand elsewhere in the county.
Here are two things of note for South Hill diners. First, the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Second, the restaurant caters to kids and families. Expect a menu of flame-broiled burgers, steaks and local beers on tap. Bob’s will be near the Sunrise Village Shopping Center.
