In four years, they’ve overcome a fire and upgraded from a cramped warehouse location to a sprawling tap room and brew facility. Their beer has garnered attention and critical acclaim well beyond this region.  7 Seas Brewing Co. in Gig Harbor on Saturday will celebrate four years in the brew business with local bands, food and ice cold 7 Seas brews.

Their anniversary would have been January this year if a devastating fire had not knocked out their fledgling brew operation in January 2009. Six months later that year, they reopened and since have been on an upward trajectory. Brewers/owners Mike Runion and Travis Guterson operated out of a space with a tiny taproom in a building behind the Inn a Gig Harbor. This year, they moved operations to downtown Gig Harbor.

Here’s what’s happening Saturday:

7 Seas Brewing Fourth Anniversary Party
When: noon-8 p.m. Saturday July 27, 2013
Where: downtown taproom location, 3006 Judson St., Gig Harbor
Info: 7seasbrewing.com, 253-514-8129
Cost: $3, cash only
NOTE: The event is 21 and older only
Entertainment: Five local bands, Perry Acker, Ben Union, Kim Archer, SweetKiss Momma, and Red Stone Sinners
