Modeled after restaurant events in Seattle and elsewhere, Tacoma Restaurant Week began Sunday and continues through April 26. Twenty five restaurants will serve three-course dinners for $25, Sunday-Thursday. Some will create $15 lunch specials, too. The two-week event is sponsored by the Weekly Volcano. Here is a complete list of restaurants and more menu details. On my watch list are the higher end restaurants where the typical cost of entry is around $50 for three courses. The $25 price of admission is a bargain by contrast, even if the fixed price menus are limited. Here are the big-ticket restaurants I would put at the top of my list: Adriatic Grill, Primo Grill, Pacific Grill, Brix 25, The Bite at Hotel Murano, El Gaucho, Marrow and The Lobster Shop.
