Skipping the ham and scalloped potatoes from your kitchen? Next Sunday, April 8 is Easter and readers already are calling, saying they don’t want to cook this year and would I please write a story about where to dine out? Per reader request, here’s a working list of restaurants with Easter dining. Some offer sit-down service, some are buffet meals. Don’t see your favorite restaurant listed? Ask and we’ll check it out. And feel free to share information on restaurants you know will be offering Easter dining.


Anthony’s at Gig Harbor and Point Defiance

Anthony’s Point Defiance: Brunch and lunch selections starting at 9:00 a.m. Dinner starting at 2:00 p.m. featuring Surf Fest – a four-course shellfish feast for just $29.95. Reservations not taken.
Anthony’s Gig Harbor: Special lunch and brunch selections “We serve it to you” style starting at 9:30 a.m. Menu items range from Anthony’s breakfast taco, eggs Benedict, and Northwest scramble to the regular lunch menu. Dinner starting at 2:30 p.m. featuring Surf Fest. Reservations required.

The meal: A seated brunch with a set menu, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
The menu: Huevos rancheros, grilled flat iron steak, classic grilled ham steak, brunch boeuf bourguignon, pork chops, rainbow trout and more.
Cost: Menu items individually priced from $15-$23.

Chambers Bay Grill

The meal: A buffet with seatings at 9, 11 and 1 p.m.
The menu: Prime rib with rosemary au jus, a salad selection with field greens, pasta salads and a selection of entrees that includes eggs Benedict, white cheddar scrambled eggs, Carlton Farms ham, applewood smoked bacon, home fries. Also, bottomless champagne, mimosas and non alcoholic beverages.
Cost: $32 for adults, $16 for children ages 5-11 and $8 for children under 5.

HG Bistro

The meal: A seated Easter brunch from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m., then dinner from 4:30-9 p.m.
The menu: Two-egg breakfast with a choice of bacon or kielbasa, pecan French toast, New York steak omelet with mushrooms, chicken fried pork and huevos ranchero wrap.
Cost: Prices vary and are individually priced.

Lady Luck Cowgirl Up

The meal: A buffet served from noon-6 p.m.
The menu: Featuring ham, carved baron of beef from Stewart’s Meats, chicken cordon Bleu, seafood cioppino, scalloped and mashed potatoes, a vegetarian fettuccini Alfredo, a salad bar with a chocolate fountain, cakes, mousses, cupcakes and brownies for dessert.
The cost: $18 for adults, $7 for children under 10, seniors are $13, kids 5 and younger eat for free.

Pacific Grill

The menu: A buffet of herbed prime rib, maple-glazed ham, biscuits and gravy, spinach strata, brioche French toast, grilled salmon, chicken apple sausage, smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon scramble, panzenella bread salad, Caesar salad, brownies, cheesecake, whoopie pies, chocolate covered strawberries.
Cost: Adults are $31.95, Children 6-12 are $15.95 Children: 2-5 are $6.95 and children younger than 2 eat for free.

The menu: Assorted pastries, salads, goat cheese stuffed paquilla peppers with Primo olives, warm grilled bread salad with sausage and onions, wood roasted shrimp and asparagus with garlic and hot peppers, calamari with garlic saffron sauce, several fritattas (Dungeness crab, spinach and fontina/pancetta, tomato and arugula/ portabella, tomato and goat cheese), smoked salmon or classic eggs Benedict, grilled porcini crusted Alaskan Halibut, grilled Alaskan King Salmon, wood roasted mushroom lasagna, spaghetti Bolognese, fettuccine with smoked salmon and lemon asparagus cream sauce, apple wood grilled beef tenderloin, grilled lamb chops.

The menu: Tortellini and fresh mozzarella cheese salad, pea salad, made to order omelets, waffles, bacon, kielbasa, breakfast potatoes, fruit crepes, cheese blintz, cinnamon rolls, prawns, blackened salmon with pine nut butter, seafood paella, fresh oysters, salmon lox, manilla clams, clam chowder, roasted prime rib, chicken and a selection of pastries and desserts.
