Every year during recipe testing for SoundLife’s back-to-back Thanksgiving food sections, I remember exactly why it is some people like to dine out on Thanksgiving.

Ouch. My back. My feet. My kitchen. What a huge mess. Is that gravy on my ceiling?

Dine out? Not a bad idea.

Babblin’ Babs Bistro

Price: $65 per person for a set five-course menu (plus tax and gratuity)

Menu: Babblin’ Babs will have a turkey-free menu. Entrée choices are pork tenderloin with mushrooms; roasted Alaskan cod loin with cabbage; Greek grilled-eggplant lasagna; and Grand Marnier chicken with mission figs. All entrées include an appetizer of apricot pistachio goat cheese triangles, potato-leek-arugula soup and pear salad. Dessert is pumpkin bread pudding and cookies.
