More than 30 food vendors will serve diners at the Taste of Tacoma.

The main event at Taste of Tacoma, of course, is the food. Here are highlights of the offerings, a partial list of vendors, and details of the healthy menu options and the $3.75 bites. A little more than 30 food booths will offer two, three, four or more menu items. The $3.75 Just a Bite tastes are in bold and the Hope Heart Right Bites (healthier dining options) are italicized. This is not a complete menu, just an overview, and menus are subject to change:

Ballard Brothers Seafood & Burgers:

Cajun blackened salmon filet sandwich, Cajun blackened salmon fillet slider, to be determined

Bambuza Vietnam Bistro:
Teriyaki chicken skewers, crispy spring roll, crispy spring roll

Billy McHale’s:
Bacon-wrapped prawns with jalapeno mayo dipping sauce, teriyaki skewers, chicken skewers

Blue Elephant:
Elephant ears, grilled salmon, grilled salmon with salad with a pomegranate dressing

Bumpus Burgers:
Onion cheeseburger, corn dog, garden burger

China Delight:
Handmade potstickers, potstickers with vegetables, steamed potstickers

Crepe Tyme:
Chicken artichoke crepe, lemon powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar crepe, garden fresh crepe

Dancing Zorba:
Classic gyros, tzatziki salad, chicken gyros

Delicious Asia: Honey prawn combo, vegetable egg rolls, steamed barbecue pork bao

Espi’s Sausage:
Barbecue chicken or pork combo, pork lumpia, barbecue pork or chicken

Famous Dave’s BBQ:
Three ribs and a side, one rib and a side, coleslaw

The Frankfurter:
Old fashioned frankfurter, kids’ dog, veggie dog

Hawaiian Fried Noodles & Pineapple:
Fried noodles and pineapple, noodles and pineapple, noodles and steamed vegetables

Jasper’s BBQ:
Barbecue sandwich (pork, beef or chicken), barbecue slider (beef, pork or chicken), chicken sausage sandwich

Kaleena Piroshky:
Beef and cheese or another flavor piroshky, half-size piroshky, potatoes with lemon parsley dill sauce

La Taqueria:
Taco plate with steak or chicken, regular nachos, taco plate

New Orleans Cookery:
Alligator on a stick, red beans and rice, Cajun stew

Papa Murphy’s Pizza:
Cowboy pizza slices, S’mores dessert pizza, Mediterranean deLITE pizza

Pho Cyclo Cafe:
Asian fried ribs, fried chicken on a stick with spicy tamarind sauce, fresh tofu spring rolls

Pico de Gallo: Halibut fish taco, fried mac ’n’ cheese, whole wheat halibut fish taco

Ray’s Food:
Grilled spicy chicken combo, noodle plate, veggie egg roll

Samurai’s Japanese Steakhouse:
Teppanyaki steak, fried rice, bean sprouts

Sizzlin’ Phillies:
Philly cheesesteak sandwich, plain shoestring fries, half original Philly sandwich, chicken cheesesteak sandwich

Smokey’s BBQ Grill:
Prime rib slider, pulled pork slider, Cuban poor boy

Southern Kitchen:
Jambalaya, red beans and rice, red beans and rice

Trophy Spice:
Elk cheeseburger, elk smokie bites and garlic bread, elk smokie bites

Wings ’n Rings:
Wing sampler, fried green beans, buffalo wing with low-fat dressing

Zieglers Bratwurst:
German bratwurst, hot dog or corn dog, kraut dish

When: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. today and Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday

Where: Point Defiance Park, Tacoma

Admission: Free

Parking: $10 in the Funland lot across from the park

Taste Shuttle: The Taste of Tacoma will offer express service every 15 minutes between the Tacoma Community College Transit Center and Point Defiance Park. Fare is $4 roundtrip, although kids younger than 13 ride for free. The shuttle leaves from the northwest corner of the campus at South 12th and South Mildred streets. (Note: Pierce Transit is not offering the shuttle service as I earlier reported, Taste of Tacoma has contracted with a vendor for that service)

Pets: None allowed in the food court. Festival organizers ask that pets stay at home.

No smoking allowed: Tacoma parks are smoke free. Smoking prohibited within all areas of Tacoma public parks.
