Cork Wine Bar has moved to the other side of Sixth Avenue. The Tacoma wine bar moved from near Sixth and Junett to a new location near Jason Lee Middle School at 606 N. State St. The wine bar had a soft opening last Thursday. Expect to see a grand opening later this month.

Owner Nick Coughran told me by phone today that the menu will be rolled out over the next few weeks. This weekend, he’ll debut a fondue and cupcake menu (made by Dulce Cupcakes). In another week, expect to see salads and flatbreads added to the menu.

Coughran said the move was motivated by space and design, “Flip flopping on the other side of the Ave, what I gain in that location is a better layout and I’m hoping outdoor seating,” he told me by phone.  The wine bar entrance is located just beyond Bluebeard Coffee, which occupies the front of the building.

Cork! A Wine Bar
Address: 606 North State Street, Tacoma
Hours: 2 p.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 2-midnight Friday-Saturday, 2-8 p.m.Sunday
