Crockett’s Public House opened two weeks ago in downtown Puyallup. The menu is comfort style American bar eats with kitschy twists like chicken and waffles. It’s a quirky food trend in other parts of the country. I don’t recall seeing it on any other menus around here.
The waffles were punched with cinnamon. The chicken was overly salty, but crispy delicious. I liked that it came with hot sauce and syrup.
Crockett’s is owned by Shaun Brobak, who owns Trackside Pizza, which is located across the alley behind Crockett’s. I’ll have a full first bite report of Crockett’s later this week.
