The face and initials will be familiar to anyone who is a frequent diner in Gig Harbor. Jason Winniford, the former general manager of Brix 25, is opening his own restaurant in downtown Gig Harbor. Click “more” to read about his new restaurant, JW.
Here’s the message from my inbox from Winniford:
I hope the message finds you well. It has been some time since I’ve seen you. I have been busy working on a 15 year project in the making. The time has finally come to unveil the curtain and launch my newest endeavor. On March 4th, my family & I will open JW Restaurant in Downtown Gig Harbor. My dream of owning my own restaurant has now become a reality. And with the help and support of my Father Joe, Step-mother Karen, and Chef Justin, I couldn’t be more excited. The final stage is almost set, and the last details are being pulled together. We have torn down walls, installed roofs and floors, slapped on fresh paint, brought in tables & chairs, wine…and beer! And we are now almost ready to show it all off to you! We are now ready to accept reservations for our opening weekend and beyond by giving me a call at 253.858.3529. Please read below for a little more about JW Restaurant……..
Note: A reader noted that this message appears to read as if I’ve met Winniford. I have not. Thanks to the reader who pointed that out. I should have noted when I posted this blog item that the email Winniford sent was a group email sent in press release form. I conduct all reviews anonymously and all reviews are paid for by The News Tribune.
