In today’s GO section, I wrote about three new mobile hot dog trucks and trailers. I previously wrote about the same three mobile restaurants in an Aug. 2 blog post here.

I thought I’d share with TNT Diner readers what I wrote in GO today – that Tommy Chicago Hot Dogs this week has ended its run at 149th and Pacific and is now on the move. Click “more” for details of the hot dog truck’s next location.

Tommy Chicago owner Tommy Marks told me this week that he no longer will be operating at 149th and Pacific in the parking lot of a vacant building where he has operated since fall 2009. I first wrote about Tommy Chicago here.

Along with his usual menu of hot dogs, which includes one of the tastiest Chicago dogs I’ve enjoyed in the South Sound, Marks has added a pastrami sandwich and a Philly sandwich to the menu. Marks told me he has taken the Italian beef sandwich off the menu. That’s unfortunate. I can only think of two places in town that sell Italian beef sandwiches – Sully’s Alder Street Cafe in Sumner and The Red Hot. Do you know anywhere else (besides your kitchen) that serves the famous Italian beef or Italian beef combo? Comment here. I’m on the prowl for a story.
