There’s a new waterfront Harbor restaurant to sit and enjoy a sandwich with the sun (while it lasts). The Red Rooster Café opened Aug. 2 at 3313 Harborview Drive. Owner Jamie English Radcliffe describes her restaurant as a comfortable 40-seat restaurant (18 of which are on the deck) with a focus on sandwiches, crepes, a full espresso bar and a few breakfast items. Click “more” to read about Radcliffe and to see the menu.

Radcliffe is a newcomer to owning her own restaurant, but grew up in a restaurant family. The 1992 Gig Harbor High School grad is the daughter of the owners of Mr. Munchies, a restaurant that was in James Center when Radcliffe was a child (it’s long gone). She intended the restaurant to be a collectible shop, too, but the space was not zoned to be one.

Those familiar with Harbor restaurants may remember the space previously held the cheese café Isa Mira (and various other businesses).
