Two restaurants are raising money to help local families. Here are the details:
Marcia’s Silver Spoon will take donations for the Hilltop family that lost their home to fire Tuesday. The incident was featured in this News Tribune article. From Marcia’s Facebook page, “We are accepting donations for the family whose home burned down yesterday and lost everything they owned. Three children, ages 4, 8, and 11, and their mom and dad, and the caregiver. They need clothes, blankets, and other necessities, and we are also taking cash donations so they can find a new home.”

Toscanos Cafe and Wine Bar in Puyallup will have a special dinner to raise money for the Sanders family, who were the victims of a home invasion. From Chef Tom Pantley, “Toscanos will hold a special dinner next Sunday, May 23rd in support of Edgewood’s Sanders family, recent victims of last months tragic home invasion. A raffle and special dinner menu will be featured next Sunday from 3-9:30pm. Net proceeds from the dinner and all proceeds from the raffle will be donated directly to the Sanders Family. The local business community has rallied to contribute many unique items for the raffle. Space is limited for this event, and reservations are required.
