A few things from my reporter’s notebook this week: The deck at Masa is now open, the Tacoma Craft Beer Festival announced its 2010 dates and helloooo, bargain! Marcia’s Silver Spoon serves dollar eats at a car show this weekend. Click “more” to read about it.

With the sunny weather here, where should you be? Masa’s second-story deck, of course. It’s the perfect place to absorb all those rays. And don’t forget the delicious house margaritas, the perfect companion to SUN. Call before going to check, but it’s been open the last three days. Go for happy hour, and nibble on these happy hour eats when you get there.

The Tacoma Craft Beer Festival, which held its inaugural festival last year, has announced dates for its 2010 festival – Oct. 1 and 2 at the Foss Waterway Seaport. Proceeds benefit the Emergency Food Network. Click here for more information.

Going to the Lucky Silver’s Sixth Annual Cruisin’ Car Show Saturday (May 15)? the folks at Marcia’s Silver Spoon Cafe are offering $1 eats in conjunction with the show – $1 corned beef hash, as well as pastries, biscuits and gravy, and breakfast sandwiches. A nice sounding assortment for a dollar menu. The specials start at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at the car show. For details on the show, click here. Find Marcia’s Silver Spoon on Facebook here.
