Mobile dogs: Tommy Chicago on Pacific

I would be remiss in my series on hot dogs if I didn’t mention the mobile hot dog restaurant Tommy Chicago off 149th and Pacific in Spanaway. This is a small operation. And is this case with some mobile restaurants, on occasion you’ll stop by and it will be gone; or closed.

But try to find a more perfect Chicago dog ($3.29) and you’ll be hard pressed outside of The Red Hot. At Tommy Chicago, they start with a poppy seed bun, drop in a Vienna dog (love those things), add a squiggle of mustard, some neon green relish, chopped onions, a pickle slice, sliced tomatoes and finish with sport peppers. It’s a classic dog, and a tasty one at that. Stop by and give them a try.

Tommy Chicago Hot Dog
Where: 14905 Pacific Ave.
Phone: 253-882-5561
Hours: 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday
Here’s what I wrote last November, a few months after the dog stand opened.
