This just into my inbox: The visit of the Burgerville Nomad burger truck to Tacoma that I reported about here has been delayed. The Nomad still will come to the Mobile Chowdown competition March 13 in Seattle, but there isn’t time to make a stop in Tacoma, say the Nomad folks. Click more to see what the email I got about when they will visit Tacoma.

The email came from Megan Alpers, spokeswoman for Burgerville USA:

Hi Sue,

Burgerville is so flattered about the interest in having the Nomad come to Tacoma for a visit. So much so, that Burgerville is working on the logistics to make this happen. They were hoping that the Nomad could swing through town when the Nomad goes to the Seattle Mobile Chowdown next weekend, but logistically are unable to supply both trips on the same visit. They have, though, completed the first steps with the city of Tacoma to learn what’s necessary for a Nomad visit. We hope to know dates and times soon when the Burgerville Nomad would be able to come to the Tacoma area. We’ll be in touch as soon as we have more specifics.

Best,

Megan
