A few events happening around town to raise money for Haiti:
1. Buy a glass of McGavick wine at Primo Grill or Crown Bar and proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders.
2. Moctezuma’s is hosting something they’ve cheekily titled “Tacos for Haiti.” They’ll donate proceeds from one day’s business to the Red Cross to benefit Haiti.

Primo Grill and Crown Bar: This from owner Charlie McManus: ” … We have been working with McGavick winery to support the Doctors Without Borders relief effort in Haiti. As you may be aware, McGavick donates 100 percent of the sales proceeds from their wine to charity. We have asked them to steer all the sales proceeds from Crown and Primo to DWB through February 28th. We made an initial $500 donation to DWB and in addition we will donate $5 for every bottle of McGavick sold through February 28th.”

Moctezuma’s: This, from operations director Bernie Garcia, “On Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 the restaurants will donate all of the profits generated on this day to the earthquake relief effort to the American Red Cross International Response Fund. In addition, cash donations will also be accepted for the Red Cross.”
