I know of four restaurants offering freebies to veterans and active duty military members today. Do you know of any giveaways to salute current or retired military? If so, please comment here.

Please tell your favorite veteran about these events:

Famous Dave’s BBQ: All active and retired veterans with military ID cards can get a free meal from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today. According to Famous Dave’s, “All active or retired Veterans, (with Military ID card), will receive a FREE meal from our “Select Menu” at any of the 5 Western Washington Famous Dave’s (Puyallup, Tacoma, Silverdale, Everett and Tukwila).” Find Famous Dave’s locations here.

Krispy Kreme: According to this press release, Krispy Kreme stores in Puyallup and Tacoma (and all other participating stores) will give a free doughnut to all “veterans and active military personnel.” Krispy Kreme locations here.

Outback Steakhouse: The restaurant today is giving free blooming onion appetizer and a beverage to veterans and active duty military. Details here. There are Outbacks in Tacoma, Puyallup, Olympia and Federal Way in our area. Locations listed here.

Applebee’s: According to this link, veterans and active duty military get a free entree at Applebee’s restaurants today. Locations in Puyallup, Tacoma, Federal Way, Bonney Lake and Lacey. Location addresses here.
