A roundup of local Haiti earthquake benefit shows

The Haiti musical benefit announcements keep rolling in, so I figured I’ll update this post periodically as I have new info. Organizers say show proceeds are going to the American Red Cross unless otherwise indicated:

* Songs for Hope, a benefit for Haitian orphans, Roberto Bonaccorso, Annie Lockwood, China Davis, Quincy “Q. Dot” Henry, Voxxy Vallejo, Heidi Vladyka, Michael O’Neill, Fuzz 58, Deborah Paige, Jason Lillie, Evan Purcell, Kim Archer, Joe Rosati, Matt Eklund, Dave Thomas and more beginning 3 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 24) at Tacoma’s Swiss Tavern. Cover is $10.

Bebel Gilberto cancels Seattle show

Brazilian pop star Bebel Gilberto’s Dec. 13 stop at Seattle’s Showbox at the Market was called of for “logistical reasons,” according to a press release just sent out by Seattle Theatre Group.

Refunds are available at point of purchase, the release says.

Os Mutantes live from Bumbershoot (video)

Brazil’s legendary Os Mutantes just wrapped up over on Bumbershoot’s Fisher Green stage, and here’s how their set started.
