Vampire Weekend schedules two makeup dates in Seattle

Vampire Weekend has scheduled two dates at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre to make up for missing last weekend’s show at Marymoor Park as front man Ezra Koenig battled vocal issues. The new shows will start at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 23, promoter STG Presents announced Thursday. Tickets for the Marymoor show will be redeemable at either performance. Rules for exchanging tickets were posted on the band’s fan site and are as follows:

Naked hippies, Green Man clones and other highlights from Sasquatch!

Within moments of entering the Gorge Amphitheatre for Sasquatch! 2010, we spied a drunk and probably otherwise chemically altered hippie guy grooving to the alt-country vibe of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros’ “Home.” Oops! Left out the most important detail. He was wearing only a single tube sock. For the record, 4:20 is too way early to be butt nekkid in public. Just ask Miss Manners. But the timing somehow fit.

Vampire Weekend added to Concerts at Marymoor lineup

Ivy league hit makers Vampire Weekend will headline Redmond’s Marymoor Park on Aug. 29, Seattle Theatre Group announced today. The Concerts at Marymoor show will kick off at 6 p.m. that day, with Beach House and Sub Pop’s Dum Dum Girls adding support.

Tickets are $39.50 and will go on sale to the general public at noon on Friday, May 21. But a ticket “pre sale” will begin on Wednesday – details here.


Muse, Vampire Weekend and more headed to Deck the Hall Ball

Seattle’s KNDD-FM (The End, 107.7) has tapped Muse, Vampire Weekend, 30 Seconds to Mars, Metric and Phoenix to play it’s annual Deck the Hall Ball show, which will take place on Dec. 15 at Seattle’s WaMu Theater this year.
