Late-night talk casualty Conan O’Brien is headed to Seattle

Conan O’Brien may have taken a beating during the late night talk wars, having been ousted from NBC-TV’s “Tonight Show” and temporarily barred from appearing elsewhere on the dial.

But look at the bright side. Now he’s got more time to brush up his stand-up act.

“Hey Internet: I’m headed to your town on a half-a**ed comedy & music tour,” O’Brien declared, via Twitter, today.

More specifically, O’Brien’s tour will kick off April 13 in Vancouver, B.C., and include a two-night stand in Seattle, with shows scheduled for 8 p.m. April 18 and

Bon Jovi interview: Richie Sambora outlines Circle Tour set list, staging (audio)

They’ve sold more than 120 million albums. They recently rocked the Grammys. And someone somewhere is howling an enthusiastic karaoke rendition of “You Give Love a Bad Name” as you read this.

Take that, critics! Bon Jovi is still bigger than the ‘dos they sported as they stormed MTV in the ‘80s. And as I blogged earlier this month, I was in on the teleconference the band held to fill in some details on what to expect from their upcoming shows.

Click hear to listen to guitarist Richie Sambora talk about the Circle Tour set lists and

Alice in Chains video

This footage sat unedited on my hard drive longer than planned. But maybe I was just saving it as a Valentine’s Day gift to all you Alice fans out there. Enjoy!

P.S. In a related matter, the band announced details for a “Your Decision” comic contest this weekend, details here.

Alice in Chains set list (Friday night)

Alice in Chains’ set last night was similar to what they delivered at the Moore last fall. That is to say it was spectacular, but even sharper after several months on the road.

But so much for that fantasy that Sir Elton John – tonight’s co-headliner at KeyArena – might make a cameo. Sure, he appears on the poignant title track from Alice’s new “Black Gives Way to Blue” album, and he had a couple of days off after Wednesday night’s Face 2 Face set at the Key. But nah! An on-site publicist had good intel that the Piano

Bon Jovi may play all of “Slippery When Wet” on Circle Tour, Sambora says

I’m on a conference call with Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora and Tico Torres who will kick off their forthcoming Circle Tour with two big shows at Seattle’s KeyArena on Feb. 19 and 20. When asked about the set list Sambora just said, “The repertoire is going to be vast. We’re going to go back and play some stuff we haven’t played in 20 years – like off of the first two albums.”

And a little “Slippery When Wet,” anyone? Like Motley Crue, Roger Waters and other veteran rock acts, Sambora hinted the band may deliver a couple of

Martin Lawrence tickets go on sale Saturday

Comedian Martin Lawrence will headline Seattle’s Paramount Theatre on March 12, promoter Live Nation announced.

Lawrence was one of the most popular comedians of the ‘90s, known for appearances on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” his sitcom “Martin” and in “Bad Boys,” the “House Party” movies and other blockbusters. But by that the latter half of the decade the embattled superstar had also became known for erratic public behavior, a sexual harassment suit filed by “Martin” co-star Tisha Campbell and for nearly dying from heat exhaustion while running in 100-degree weather in 1999.

This year
