Arcade Fire tour headed to KeyArena

Arcade Fire will headline Seattle’s KeyArena on Sept. 29, the band announced. The Montreal, Canada-based troupe recently released its third album, “The Suburbs,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Here is the rest of the tour itinerary.

Music and Art in Wright Park benefit show

Earplugs are not optional on Saturday. At least not if you want your ears to survive the epic metal sludge and hardcore mayhem that Mico de Noche and C.F.A. will unleash on Tacoma’s New Frontier Lounge. The bands are looking to raise about $2,500 to help finance the MAWP festival, which will also feature the F-ing Eagles, Gold Teeth, Lozen, Girl Trouble and more on Aug. 21 at Wright Park.

American Idols Live headed to KeyArena

The Top 10 “American Idol” finalists – Aaron Kelly, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami, Katie Stevens, Lee DeWyze, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, and Tim Urban – will headline Seattle’s KeyArena on Aug. 20, Seattle Center announced today.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10 am.

Soundgarden rumored to play secret show at Showbox

The recently reunited Soundgarden’s first official, confirmed gig is at Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival in August. But Billboard and other sources are reporting that the grunge titans will actually launch their comeback bid Friday night at Showbox at the Market. If true, it’ll be their first gig since 1997.

Charlotte Gainsbourg’s first Seattle tour stop

The lovely, talented Charlotte Gainsbourg dropped by Seattle’s Crocodile Café Wednesday night, only a few shows into her first U.S. tour. Who knew? The French singer-actress has two solid albums under her belt – three if you count the record papa, Serge, wrote for her when she was a pre-teen. But until now, American fans have only been able to witness her talent on the big screen, in movies like “Jane Eyre,” “The Science of Sleep” and, more recently, “Anti-Christ.”
