Grit City Bootlegs No. 60: 3 Inches of Blood rock Mayhem Fest 2010

3 Inches of Blood may technically be a gang of Dungeons & Dragons obsessed Canadian metalheads. But here at TRC we give them an honorary Grit City pass for (a) living in Tacoma when they wrote “Fire Up the Blades” a few years back with Slipknots Joey Jordison, (b) for rocking our faces off whenever they come to town and play Hell’s Kitchen, and (c) for just being a swell bunch of guys. So here’s some of the insanity that ensued after these kinda-sorta Tacomans headlined Mayhem Festival’s parking lot stage Tuesday evening.

P.S. There are more videos, photos and notes from Mayhem on the way, some of them featuring Oompa Loompas. Yes, orange-tinted little people with green hair. Seriously.

Uproar festival will bring Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold and more to Gorge

Rockstar Energy Drink is apparently trying to corner the market on Ozzfest-like package tours. The latest is their Uproar festival, which will bring Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Halestorm, Hellyeah, Airbourne, Hail the Villain and New Medicine to the Gorge Amphitheatre in George on Sept. 25. That’s on top of the previously announced Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, which will bring Korn, Rob Zombie and more to Auburn’s White River Amphitheatre on July 31.

Korn and Rob Zombie will co-headline the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which will drop in on Auburn’s White River Amphitheater on July 13, organizers announced.
