Tickets for BJ Shea’s Comedy Riot on sale Saturday

“Saturday Night Live” alumnus Norm MacDonald will headline the Comedy Riot, an event being put on by BJ Shea of KISW-FM (99.9) at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre on Nov. 5. That night’s bill will also include celebrity impersonator Craig Gass and Bothell’s Kyle Cease.

Godsmack to headline Pain in the Grass 2010, tix on sale Saturday

Seattle rock station KISW-FM (99.9) released details for its annual summer gala, Pain in the Grass, which will bring Godsmack, Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, Sevendust, Drowning Pool and more to Auburn’s White River Amphitheatre on Aug. 28. (This must be the mysterious “fairgrounds” show Shinedown’s Brent Smith alluded to here.)

Most tickets will go $29 to $69, with discounted lawn seats available for $20 with valid military I.D. and a limited number of lawn tickets available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12 at an on sale kickoff party

KISW-FM (99.9) searching for new Metal Shop hosts

KISW-FM (99.9) has announced that Metal Shop hosts Steve Rock and Kevin were moving on after eight years and that the station is looking for replacements. From the official announcement:

KISW is looking for a consummate metal head, someone that eats, breathes and sleeps metal to host the show. The new host will also write blogs about the music and introduce metal bands at concerts.

KISW Rock Girl Gala to feature Theory of a Dead Man, half-naked women

You know those sassy and usually scantily clad calendar girls KISW-FM parades across the stage between acts during their radio galas? Well, they’re choosing 16 more from 40 local contestants competing in the 7th annual Rock Girl Gala Feb. 27 at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo.

The Seattle station also announced Theory of a Deadman, Halestorm and Adelitas as the band’s providing the tunes, with tickets going on sale for 30 bucks a pop at 10 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 15). More info here.
