Hey, who’s ready for some “Dirty Water Ocean?”

In case you haven’t heard, Seattle post-grunge outfit Green Apple Quick Step is back in action, ready to rock only their second show in about a dozen years Friday night at Tacoma’s Hell’s Kitchen. “Dirty Water” – a cut that earned the band props from none other than “Beavis and Butthead” back in the ‘90s – will definitely be on tonight’s set list.

So says lead singer and Tacoma boy Ty Willman, who I caught up with for Friday’s GO section. Click the links to hear some of what he

“Bottom line is a coupe of badass shows in mid-January that we have to be open for,” he said. Those shows: Rorschach Test on Jan. 16 and Guttermouth on Jan. 22. Check out the venue’s site here.

Tacoma’s Revengers are about to unleash their dynamic, new “Scraps on the Badlands” album with a CD release party Saturday night (Nov. 21) at Hell’s Kitchen, and last weekend I caught up with those guys at their Sixth Ave practice space to talk about it.

Here are a few clips from our interview, practice and proof they can hack it as a tribute band if the whole Revengers thing doesn’t work out.
