F-ing Eagles world conquest, phase two

Around here we’ve known the F-ing Eagles are pretty rad for a while. See for yourself tonight when they open for surf-guitar legend Dick Dale tonight at Hell’s Kitchen; booking guru Flash says they go on at 10.

But soon potentially millions will have heard T-town’s grittiest garage-rockers thanks to a few well-placed cuts from the band’s first two discs, “A Million Dollars Worth of Music” and last year’s “Midnight Sour.”

Best of Grit City Bootlegs 2009, pt. 1

One of the many things I’ve had a blast with in ’09 has been getting TRC’s Grit City Bootleg series up and running, first with audio clips of local performances (Girl Trouble’s 25th anniversary party being the first) and eventually with the videos you’ve been seeing since June. Dick Dale returns (video)

Rock icon Dick Dale will headline Olympia’s Capitol Theater tonight. And that’s as good a reason as any to dust off Tacoma Rock City’s first ever video Grit City Bootleg, from when the surf guitar guru last appeared at Hell’s Kitchen. And apparently I wasn’t the only one shootin’ video.
