R.I.P. Ronald Smith of the Great Pretenders

Ronald E. Smith – the guitarist for local rock cover band the Great Pretenders for 40 years – has died. He was 67 and had been battling prostate cancer before he passed away on Jan. 30.

“I just remember all the good times with Ron. Belles’ Kitchen: AC/DC tribute vixens will send Sixth Avenue’s loudest club off with bang

This is it, folks! The last weekend to swig Rainier and get your mosh on over at Hell’s Kitchen v. 1.0.

In case you haven’t heard, Sixth Avenue’s loudest, most-black-t-shirt-wearenest venue is headed downtown where it will reopen next month. Meanwhile, who better to close the old joint down in style than the rockin’ chicas of Hell’s Belles?
