Keith Urban’s Get Closer Tour headed to Seattle

Keith Urban will take his Get Closer 2011 Tour to Seattle. The Aussie singer – known for “Days Gone By,” “You’ll Think of Me” and other hits – will headline KeyArena on Sept. 29. Tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. on Feb. 18.

Urban previously stopped at the Gorge Amphitheatre last year and at the Tacoma Dome in September 2009. Click here for links to audio from our interview that preceded the Tacoma stop.

Sugarland tickets on sale Friday

Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush – the award winning country duo that’s better known as Sugarland – will bring their Incredible Machine Tour to Comcast Arena in Everett on July 18, their only Northwest stop this year. Tickets prices will range from $35 to $82, and they will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Comcast Arena announced last week.

Country superstar Kenny Chesney to play Tacoma

Kenny Chesney is headed to Tacoma. The country superstar added 41 dates to his new Goin’ Coastal tour today including a July 22 appearance at the Tacoma Dome, a relatively intimate setting compared to his previous local stops at Qwest Field in 2008 and 2009.

Kid Rock set list

At some point during Kid Rock’s return to the Puyallup Fair Sunday night it struck me just how artificial a lot of what you hear on top 40 radio is these days. It was right around the time that Kid – a guy who’s spent the latter part of his career lifting riffs from Metallica, Warren Zevon and ZZ Top – bragged about how authentic his band was because, you know, they play instruments and stuff. Willie Nelson review and set list

He’s a country icon, accomplished songwriter, counterculture hero and activist. It doesn’t get much bigger than Willie Nelson, a living legend if there ever was one and the biggest deal to headline the Puyallup Fair grandstand this year. His Thursday night concert sold out at 10,056 strong, and it was no wonder as he and his Family band – featuring little sis, Bobbie on piano – reminded fans why Nelson is still one of the of the most beloved figures in all of popular music.

Dierks Bentley explains why he went bluegrass on “Up On the Ridge” (audio)

Dierks Bentley will be the main attraction Saturday night at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center grandstand.
