Local comedian Nate Jackson is putting on his “haymaker show.” At least that’s how Jackson described his Super Funny Thanksgiving Comedy Concert, which will build on the popularity of his weekly, Thursday night gig at the Varsity Grill at 8 p.m. on Nov. 27 at Tacoma’s Rialto Theater.
What constitutes a “haymaker show,” you ask? For starters, Jackson’s got one of my favorite up-and-coming comedians, Tony Roberts, who headlined his Super Funny Comedy Show in August and who you may have seen on Showtime’s Wired and HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” And rounding out the bill he’s got Vincent Oshana (also a “Def Comedy Jam” alumnus) and Cocoa Brown from “America’s Got Talent.” Jackson will, of course, host.
Tickets are $20 to $30 and are available through Broadway Center, Herb’s Barber Shop (located at 56th and M streets in Tacoma) or from members of Team Nate at his weekly Super Funny show. Find more details here.
