Sure, people screamed their lungs raw for that Adam Lambert guy and his homie Allison Iraheta Tuesday night at the Puyallup Fair (review and set list here.) But we all know which “American Idol” contestant you’ve really been pining for. It’s Sanjaya (echo, echo) – season six alumnus, rocker of the “ponyhawk” and the main attraction at 2K10 YouthFest, a musical showcase that will kick off at 7 p.m. Sunday on the Puyallup Fair & Events Center’s Coca-Cola stage.

The Sanjayanator is the subject of a story that will run in SoundLife on Sunday. Meanwhile, here’s a clip from my recent interview with him talking about …

… what he’s learned after a few years in the cutthroat entertainment biz.

P.S. In a related matter, this made me wonder what Ashely Ferl is up to. Wouldn’t it be rad if she showed up and started bawling her eyes out again at the Fair? Somebody find that girl and get her a plane ticket.

You would be surprised at how true that actually is. A device called “autotune” has been in use for some years now and sits in between the line-out of the performer and the line-in of the mixing, and literally forces the tone that comes through to be naturally pitch-perfect.

  3. I get pleasure from studying these writings becuase they help me complete the flash and shockwave game building which I do fairly a lot of, it is a shame all the rubbish comments that these websites are starting to get although, they really should sort.
