So here’s the thing. I could play it off as if I edited the following video, starring Roman Holiday, to make it look all arty farty and “impressionistic” on purpose. But I cannot tell a lie. I am a knucklehead, and I left my camera’s closeup switch on, something I didn’t figure out until just before Motopony went onstage later last Saturday night.
But the sound is pretty tight, though, user error aside. And this clip will give you an idea of what one of Tacoma’s most polished indie-rock bands plays; you know, epic, melodic pop that fans of groups like Coldplay, Death Cab and Kings of Leon will dig.
And you can see what they look like, unblurred, when they headline their CD release party for new album “Paint This Town” at 8 Friday night (Jan. 15) at Puyallup’s Liberty Theater.
