Legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac will headline the Tacoma Dome on May 16, Live Nation announced today. It’s the only Northwest stop that the veteran outfit, best known for "Go Your Own Way," "Rhiannon" and other hits, is scheduled to make on its forthcoming arena tour. Tickets are set at $49.50 to $149.50 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 26.
The latest incarnation of the band’s ever-changing lineup includes Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Lindsay Buckingham, but not keyboard player Christine McVie. The tour will kick off on March 1 in Pittsburgh in support of the greatest hits collection, “Unleashed.”
The band’s renowned 1977 album “Rumours” will also be reissued as part of a special CD/DVD boxed set on Reprise Records in conjunction with the tour dates, according to the Live Nation press release. The new version will include several demo versions of songs from the album along with unreleased tracks recorded during the band’s “Rumours” era.
The band has also been working on new material, so you have to wonder if a few new tracks will show up on the set list, too.
