A group of orphaned fox kits found in an irrigation pipe in Idaho can now call Eatonville’s Northwest Trek Wildlife Park home.
The park’s zoological curator, Heidi Hellmuth, traveled to Zoo Boise May 20 to pick up the siblings after their mother was caught stealing chickens and shot by a rancher near Rexburg, Idaho, according to the park.
The kits, three males and two females, are about two months old.
They’re in a quarantine area and won’t be on exhibit until they’re older and have been socialized. Hellmuth said it’s too soon to say when that will be.
