The Spring Fair in Puyallup is approaching, and fair organizers want to show appreciation for the men and women in uniform.

Military Appreciation Day at the fair is Friday, April 19, and anyone in the military community can get free gate admission with a valid military ID.

All active, reserve, and retired military and National Guard and their dependents, plus disabled veterans can take advantage of the free admission, according to a release from public relations counsel Karen LaFlamme.

Military Appreciation Day is an annual event in partnership with 94.1 KMPS and 102.5 KZOK. Danny Bonaduce, from the self-titled radio show on KZOK, will be thanking military members from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Friday at the radio station’s tent.

Some events on Friday include Aussie Kingdom, a show featuring marcupials, and Swifty Swine Racing Pigs. Auto Alley will showcase dragsters and funny cars, and fairgoers can take Monster Truck Rides for $7 from 2-6 p.m.

Friday’s ticketed event is the Monster Truck Show at 7:30 p.m.

The Spring Fair runs from April 18-21.
