Rep. Denny Heck is opening a district office on the third floor of Lakewood City Hall on Monday.
Heck’s office reached agreement to lease space for a district office at Lacey City Hall and approached Lakewood city officials as they sough to open another office in Pierce County, said Phil Gardner, his chief spokesman.
The hours will mirror those of City Hall, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Gardner said the location for the district office is convenient for residents and, as an added business, Heck’s representatives will be mere feet from city officials.
“We work with them on a lot of issues,” Gardner said. “It’s right there, and it’s a place most people know where it is.”
Heck’s 10th Congressional District includes Lacey, Lakewood, Olympia, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and University Place,
The lease expires on Jan. 2, 2015, the end of Heck’s first term. The monthly lease payment for the 120 square feet is $200.
The office is located just to the left of the main administration desk. City Hall is located at 6000 Main St. SW.
