Pierce County Animal Control seized two dogs today it had declared dangerous after they attacked a Parkland woman’s dog named Bubbles last month.
Animal Control Supervisor Brian Boman said his office obtained a search warrant and took a pit bull and Presa Canario from the home of the dogs’ owner, Jessica White.
Boman said White “didn’t comply with any of the restrictions” after the county declared the two dogs dangerous. The dogs are in the possession of the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County.
A Presa Canario! It’s a wonder Bubbles survived the attack. There was a famous case some years ago where a woman was killed by two Presa Canarios outside her apartment. Importation of the breed is forbidden in Australia and New Zealand.
