Here are some facts that will not be printed by the TRIB.

The Tacoma School District can advertise and post on the ballot any school they supposedly will fix under a capital bond. The fact that is not published by the paper is that the school district has no obligation to build or fix x or y school. The capital dollar amount and NOT the school to be fixed is enforced. Fact is Jim Shoemake and Dan Barkley themselves admitted to this during the 2001 bond. So go ahead and claim X Y Z school will be fixed doesn’t matter because any school bond money can be used for any construction and there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY to ensure the school that you vote for will be fxed or built!

Educate yourself and VOTE NO. The school district is not obligated to fix any school they promise on the ballot….

Citizen, why would you go along with this? If they don’t get the money, then things will change. If you keep giving money, nothing will change. I say no more! Why would you want to burden your fellow citizen with more taxes anyway? Voting to make your neighbors pay is wrong.

I’m all for meaningful improvements to the schools . I do have a little problem with the amt of money that the school district spends for top admin people who don’t teach .We have had some good top level admin types but boy have we had some … not so good ones that didn’t seem to be worth much of the large amt we paid them . In my opinion Entrenched, poor quality , top level admin people( and some in the teachers union are probably some of the biggest threats to quality education in this city . All said I will still vote yes and pay the taxes for better schools.

You spend hendreds of millions dollars of tax money on new schools with no repair on the original infastructure.

The School District is not a true custodian of the education of our youth and do not deserve to be paid for mismanagement of this system.

Why not hot tubs out in back? I had a teacher who said that the
function of public schools was to hold the students away from
the workforce for a few years. Do you have the money so our kids
can live in luxury?

With the numerous unsupervised vandal criminal thug kids wandering the streets at night it would be far better to build an extermination camp for them rather than spend a dime on the Tacoma School District.

I feel this will be another good reason to move out of Tacoma.I never realized there were so many rich people living there.But if the taxers have their way I can see the rich inhabitants becoming the poor inhabitants.

Hey I’m a Tacoma taxpayer and I have other plans for my money.

I’m targeting a major capital improvement under my plan, as well as some smaller upgrades that would install new alarm systems, enhance my homes energy efficiency, fix the roof, improve the bathrooms, and the yard, our playground, and other miscellaneous items of my choosing.

You built The Taj Mahal for the Mt.Tahoma garbage, and yet you continue to turn oyut useless human garbage ?
