Clover Park Technical College will begin using the Pierce County Skills Center for courses in aviation composite materials this spring.

The center, a cooperative venture in career and technical education involving seven local school districts and four community and technical colleges, is located on Canyon Road.

Clover Park Tech students will use the same facilities and equipment that high school students use for their aviation composite courses.
Boeing and Toray Composite America, Inc., both consumers of composite materials, are located approximately a mile from the center.

The center, which opened in 2010, also recently added more than two acres to its campus.
