A benefit Monday to support paralyzed teen gymnast Jacoby Miles grossed about $180,000 and raised a net $155,000, according to event organizers.

The 15-year-old from Puyallup was left paralyzed from the mid-chest down after falling during a dismount last month.

Funds from the auction and dinner, attended by 12 present and past USA Olympians, will help the Miles family with ongoing medical costs.

Family and friends are updating Miles’s progress at getwelljacoby.blogspot.com.

Donations can be made at goteamjacoby.com or by calling 253-826-5999.
