The Pierce County Council unanimously adopted Tuesday a general fund budget of $274.8 million for next year.
The council’s 2013 budget cuts 42 positions, including 26 from the general fund for core government services. The total budget is $894.1 million.
The general fund budget is reduced from $275.6 million for this year.
The budget approved Tuesday is virtually the same budget the council moved forward on Nov. 6. It restores four law enforcement deputy positions while putting potential 1 percent cost-of-living raises for next year in limbo.
In the mean time the county has raised taxes twice one so we can help the idiots who live along rivers and the other for new coms and we’re still waiting for #3
