Tickets are now on sale for Zoolights, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

The event runs from Nov. 23 to Jan. 1. It is closed Christmas Eve. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m.

Those looking to attend can buy tickets today at any Puget Sound area Fred Meyer store. Discounted tickets, at $7.25 per person, can also be bought at www.pdza.org. Zoo members pay $4.25.

At-the-gate general admission will cost $8.50 per person. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

Crews are already installing more than half-a-million LED lights on zoo grounds in preparation for the holiday tradition. Longtime favorites like the twin Tacoma Narrows bridges and the Flame Tree will return and the newest addition will be a 100-foot Giant Pacific Octopus atop the North Pacific Aquarium.
