Having fun is the mission for service members, veterans and their families Saturday, Nov. 3, during a military appreciation event.
The first annual Operation Fun will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the parking lot of Narrows Plaza Bowl, 2200 Mildred St. West in University Place.
The event is free for service members, veterans and their families. Visitors will receive a “passport” when they arrive. Once it’s stamped by visiting vendors and informational booths on available services on site, they can enjoy free bowling and other activities. Visitors need to bring identification to prove their military service. Others can participate for a $10 fee.
They can also enjoy free entertainment on the stage with activities. Food will be available to purchase.
