That cheering sound you may have heard rising from the campus of Clover Park Technical College can be traced to the surprise ceremony that was scheduled this morning to honor students and instructors in the college’s automotive program.

WIX Filters, O’Reilly Auto Parts and “Tomorrow’s Technician” magazine named Clover Park Technical College the 2012 Technical School of the Year. Clover Park Technical College was selected for the award from more than 340 applications nominating more than 121 schools nationwide.

The college won the fifth annual award based on its dedication to education, commitment to career placement and award-winning instructors and students. The instructors of the program have more than 220 years of experience in the automotive field.
